The Paramadvaita Tantra
The Lineage
The living lineage of Paramadvaita carried into Rishikula begins with Sri Adishaktinatha, the primal source of the tradition. From this origin, the wisdom flowed through the Saptarishis, who carried the nondual vision as experiential understanding. In later ages, the Siddha Nathas held and refined these teachings, ensuring they remained practical, transformative and accessible to those capable of receiving them.
In this present cycle, the lineage emerges through Gurunatha and Gurumatha. Together, they hold the parampara with steadiness and grace, guiding seekers to realise Paramadvaita not as a concept, but as a lived state of awareness.
Historical forces pushed Paramadvaita into quieter channels. Times of conflict, cultural disruption and intellectual fragmentation created conditions where subtle teachings could not thrive in the open. Instead of disappearing, they simply shifted into protected spaces.
Today, a natural Yuga shift calls these teachings back into light. Humanity faces challenges that cannot be met by external solutions alone. A revival of deep inner clarity has become necessary, and Paramadvaita offers precisely that. The teachings rise again because the age demands their presence.
When the Teaching Went Underground
GururUpayah: The Fifth Method
Traditionally, Trika speaks of four upayas that support awakening:
- Anavopayah
- Shaktopayah
- Shambhavopayah
- Anupayah
In the current revival emerges a fifth: GururUpayah, where the Guru’s stabilising presence becomes a method that overlooks all the four uyapyas. Gurunatha’s field of awareness enables seekers to absorb Paramadvaita through resonance, reflection and steady companionship. It does not bypass personal effort. It strengthens it. This upaya allows modern seekers to progress with confidence and inner support of the rishi parampara shakti.
